Egypt Coach Blasts Chelsea's Treatment of Mohamed Salah Following Defeat to Senegal Egypt coach Shawky Gharib has placed blame on Chelsea's treatment of winger Mohamed Salah for Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifying loss to Senegal, according to Ahram Online. Salah has been somewhat frozen out at Stamford Bridge since he arrived for £11 million from Swiss club Basel in January, failing to make his mark on the team even after an impressive start. With Andre Schurrle, Willian and Eden Hazard preferred in the wide positions recently, Salah has found his opportunities to play in the first team limited. Gharib blames the poor fitness of Salah - deriving from his lack of playing time - for failing to see the required threat from the player in an attacking sense.
